Aren’t you glad that you’re not in church today? I loved being able to take back my life once I stopped going to church every single Sunday and Wednesday. I played bass for the worship team at my church, so I was there like 4 or 5 times a week, total.
I won’t lie–sometimes I miss that fellowship and actually playing music. I think that’s one thing that’s hard for deconstructing people after leaving the church; we go from being around so many people every week to not having that community. Well, that’s what I (and several others) are trying to build for nonbelievers in the virtual space.
THANK YOU to my patrons, Ainslie, Marissa, and Leah!!

Laugh With Me
Holy shit. This 2:24 video is one of the funniest things I’ve seen in a while. What if atheists treated religious people the way religious people treat atheists?
Watch it HERE & let me know what your favorite part is.
God Allows Suffering
I watched part of a debate between Bart Ehrman and Michael Brown in which they talk about suffering. Ehrman takes the stage at the 25-minute-mark, and explains how God punishes people for their sins, and, even worse, what God does to Job. Testing him. Killing his ten children. If that god is real, he’s a real dick. He’s a bully.
If you don’t watch the whole thing, make sure to listen to Bart Ehrman’s closing remarks, starting at 1:58:00. Click HERE to watch the debate.
Why I Do This
One of my favorite YouTubers, Genetically Modified Skeptic, has a video called “Why I Went from Evangelical to Atheist Youtuber.” I’ve watched this video before, but I watched it again this week, and I think I really needed it.
I get asked frequently (mostly by Christians) why I dedicate my time to talking about a god that I don’t believe in. It’s because I spent so much time serving a god that I now don’t believe exists. I was indoctrinated to believe something that shaped the way I lived my life. Now, I know there are people who are in the same boat that I was ten years ago when I stepped away from Christianity.
GM Skeptic shares a lot of my sentiments, and I’ll likely make a video like this soon. Check his out HERE.

Dilbert Creator Thinks Joe Biden’s Name is Satanic Symbolism
Yeah, that’s definitely the weirdest headline I’ve written yet. Listen to this moron, Scott Adams, work out his terrible logic to theorize that Joe Biden’s name means “666 Identity”. Seriously, what the fuck is wrong with religious nuts? Oh yeah… religion. Here’s the tweet.
Close to Home
Sometimes, I go through some of my old churchmates’ Facebook timelines to get some material to post. Well, I went through one today, and found a story about a woman who works at a grocery store. Apparently, she prays for people when they are not asking for it. She lays hands on people without their consent, yet she is praised and looked as a victim by the local church community because she has been told to quit.
This is Christian privilege at its finest. More than 50 people showed up outside of her store to pray for her. The pastor who led the prayers said “She’s standing up for what she believes, she’s standing up for what’s right, so we’re here to support her.”
I’m guessing they wouldn’t hold that same view if she were a Muslim. What do you think?
This is what it’s like to live in the Bible Belt. Read the article HERE.
Thanks for reading, and I hope you have a great week!

I have shirts, mugs, and stickers available at my store. I just added a couple of masks, if you’re interested.
