Happy Sunday, Unfollowers!
How are you feeling today? I’m feeling a little discouraged, personally. My niece got COVID (she’s okay now), and it seems like everyone I know isn’t taking the pandemic seriously anymore. I understand that “pandemic fatigue” is a thing. We all just want this to go away, but, the truth is that it won’t.
I’m saddened at the thought of how many elderly people will get sick during the upcoming holidays because their family members didn’t want to put a piece of fabric on their faces and not socialize for a few months.
But, I digress…

Ancient Questions About Jesus
Genetically Modified Skeptic is one of my favorite YouTubers. His videos are always very thoughtful and informative. In this video, he answers these 3 questions:
- Did Jesus have a physical body?
- Was Jesus the son of Yahweh?
- Did Jesus teach about heaven and hell?

I’m Leaving Facebook/Twitter for Parler
No, I’m fucking not, but have you guys seen all of the people who are? I can’t go a day on Facebook without seeing one of my conspiracy theorist Christian friends talking about leaving to go to Parler.
If you don’t know what Parler is, it’s a social media app. The creators describe it as “a non-biased, free speech social media focused on protecting user’s rights.” Their tagline is “Unbiased Social Media.” Basically, it’s a place where conservatives are flocking because they think that Facebook and Twitter are censoring the real news.
The irony is that I’ve already seen conservatives bragging that Parler removes users it doesn’t like aka liberals. So, why can’t they just be honest and say that they want a place where they can bounce their crazy theories off each other? A place where they can post any actual fake news that they want. I mean, for god’s fucking sake, these people have now turned on Fox News, calling it fake. They have a complete distrust for any mainstream news.
Continuing on the topic of Christians & conspiracy theories, it’s wild how the people are the most skeptical about actual, real news are the same ones who believe a man rose from the dead, walked on water, and fed 37,000 people with 3 sandwiches (I can’t remember the story).
Well, now northwest Georgia has a congresswoman-elect of the U.S. House of Representatives, Marjorie Taylor Greene, who supports QAnon but not wearing masks. This hits close to home for me because it’s literally close to home. I’ve spent most of my life in NWGA.
Her Twitter feed may actually be worse than Trump’s. She is one of many Christians who are buying into every conspiracy theory under the sun, despite zero evidence. It’s actually pretty troubling that she got elected.
Here’s an example of one of her tweets:
It just baffles me that the Christians are yelling “conspiracy!” and “stop the steal!” in order to keep a… *checks notes* narcissistic, cheating, admitter of sexual assault in the oval office. What the fuck is happening?
Anyway, if you’ve read this far, thank you! I think we’re in for a long next few months.
Have a great Sunday!
